This project was done in two distinct phases, the first a two-story addition to an existing Georgian Revival house, and the second the conversion of an existing garage structure into a pool house. The second phase was completed in conjunction with a major re-landscaping of the rear yard which included the installation of a lap pool and pergola.
The first addition included a kitchen and family room expansion on the first floor with a new master bath and dressing area above.
The design of both the addition and the pool structure took most of their cues for detailing from the original structure of the house with classically derived columns and entablature surmounted by a gabled roof forms in both instances.
The interior remodeling work also employed motifs and details that were derived from the original architecture of the house.
